- Are you a live-in carer looking after a family member with dementia?
- Are you a community care assistant caring for service users with dementia?
I’m looking to interview live-in carers and community care assistants for research as part of my Artist Residency with the National Theatre of Scotland.
The aim of the residency is to research, explore, and develop an idea for a theatre piece based on my chosen topic: The pandemic’s impact on care in the community.
The idea is inspired by my lived experience of looking after my mother who is paraplegic and housebound. She also has early signs of dementia.
Through a balanced body of research, my goal is to understand others’ experiences looking after someone with dementia during the pandemic.
Interviews
Interviews will be held either in person or via Zoom in July and August.
There will be a fee of £50 for a 45 minute interview. Travel expenses will be covered from within the Central Belt if interviewed in person.
In-person interviews will be at the National Theatre of Scotland at Rockvilla in Glasgow. Alternatively, I’m happy to meet participants at a more convenient location.
