Kal Sabir’s supernatural short, A Coincidental Engagement, had a private screening on September 28th at Glasgow Film Theatre.
Although the screening was primarily for cast and crew, invitations were extended to select industry professionals for feedback.
There was an opportunity to network after the screening. Photographs of the event can be viewed on the film’s Instagram page.
Sad News
Later that day, Kal discovered that David Goodall, who was fight director on the film, passed away the night before.
David had emailed Kal on the Monday that week stating that he would be unable to attend due to serious health concerns.
Throughout rehearsals and on location, David was very supportive of the team and an absolute gentleman.
In his memory, a slate has been added at the beginning of the film.
Bittersweet
On the Friday that week, news was received that A Coincidental Engagement had been accepted for the Unrestricted View Horror Film Festival.
It will screen in London on Saturday 4th November at 5pm.
