Kal Sabir has been invited to be part of a creative team participating on Whose London Is It Anyway?, a festival of theatre, performance and discussion at the Camden People’s Theatre in January 2016.
The company is Hyphenated and the project will be an initial presentation of a research and development piece, titled ‘Home is where…’.
Home is Where… is a theatre piece made of real stories that have been collected from interviews with Third Culture Kids, people who grew up in a different culture than their parents and created their own unique identities out of many influences.
It’s verbatim, but not as you know it; the stories of Londoners, but not as you know them. Using scripted dialogue alongside verbatim interviews, movement, and music, Home is Where… explores the complexity, absurdity, and joy of our multicultural lives.
We are more the same than we are different. We are Londoners.
